Basketball Game Preview: University Titans vs. Gonzaga Prep Bullpups

The University Titans will face off against the Gonzaga Prep Bullpups at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.

Last Tuesday, University ended up a good deal behind Central Valley and lost 55-39. While losing is never fun, the Titans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 109th, while the Bears are ranked fifth).

Meanwhile, Gonzaga Prep strolled past Ferris with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 68-50.

Gonzaga Prep is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.8 points per game. As for University, they now have a losing record at 5-6.

University skirted past Gonzaga Prep 47-44 in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. Will University repeat their success, or does Gonzaga Prep have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
