Basketball Game Preview: Classical Academy Caimans vs. Escondido Adventist Academy Hawks

The Classical Academy Caimans will head out to square off against the Escondido Adventist Academy Hawks at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Friday, Classical Academy came up short against Valley Center and fell 62-55. The Caimans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Nathan French put forth a good effort for the losing side as he posted 17 points. Those 17 points gave him a new career-high. Joseph Lanzone was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Meanwhile, Escondido Adventist Academy beat Guajome Park Academy 62-50 on Monday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hawks.

Escondido Adventist Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 5-7 record this season. As for Classical Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9.

Classical Academy took their win against Escondido Adventist Academy in their previous matchup back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 61-35. The rematch might be a little tougher for Classical Academy since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
