Recap: Memphis School of Excellence Eagles vs. Hillcrest Vikings
The Memphis School of Excellence Eagles lost against the Hillcrest Vikings back in January of 2020, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Memphis School of Excellence was dealt a 110-48 defeat at the hands of Hillcrest. Memphis School of Excellence has not had much luck with Hillcrest recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Jordan Allen was his usual excellent self, scoring 40 points along with seven rebounds and seven steals for Hillcrest. That makes it six consecutive games in which Allen has scored at least 25% of Hillcrest's points. Another player making a difference was Xavier Herron, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 11 assists.
Memphis School of Excellence's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Hillcrest, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.
Memphis School of Excellence will head out on the road to face off against Varsity Opponent at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hillcrest, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Oakhaven at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Oakhaven knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matchups -- so hopefully Hillcrest likes a good challenge.
