Softball Recap: Greenville Comes Up Short

Greenville fell victim to Woodmont and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Wildcats, falling 10-0. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Red Raiders' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Greenville has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-8-1 record this season. As for Woodmont, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Greenville will take on J.L. Mann at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Red Raiders are facing the Patriots at the right time seeing as the Patriots are stuck on a 13-game losing streak. As for Woodmont, they will face off against Easley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
