Softball Recap: Walled Lake Central Takes a Loss

After flying high against Kettering on Tuesday, Walled Lake Central came back down to earth. The Vikings lost 12-4 to the Novi Wildcats on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Vikings in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost three in a row.

Courtney Bigham was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one triple and one run. Melanie Bigham was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Walled Lake Central's defeat dropped their record down to 13-17. As for Novi, their win ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-14.

Looking ahead, Walled Lake Central will take on Detroit Country Day at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Novi, they will be playing at home against Kettering at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
