Berrien Springs entered their tilt with Dowagiac on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They secured a 62-57 W over the Dowagiac Chieftains. Given the Shamrocks' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 105th, while the Chieftains are ranked 447th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Berrien Springs' victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Dowagiac, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Berrien Springs and Concord will compete for holiday cheer at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Dowagiac, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Watervliet at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
