Soccer Game Preview: Eastern Guilford vs. Rockingham County

Eastern Guilford hasn't had much luck against Rockingham County recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Wildcats will venture away from home to take on the Cougars at 6:00 p.m. Eastern Guilford will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Eastern Guilford's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against High Point Central as they made off with a 6-0 win. The result was nothing new for Eastern Guilford, who have now won four games by six goals or more so far this season.

Rockingham County played against Ben L. Smith on Tuesday and won via forfeit.

Eastern Guilford's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Rockingham County, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season.

Eastern Guilford skirted past Rockingham County 3-2 when the teams last played back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
