Baseball Recap: Gabriel Richard Takes a Loss

Gabriel Richard was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 14-2 to the Plymouth Christian Academy Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-2 on Saturday.

Gabriel Richard's loss dropped their record down to 12-24. As for Plymouth Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won 19 of their last 20 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-7 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gabriel Richard will host Erie-Mason at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Plymouth Christian Academy, they will face off against Bloomfield Christian School at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles are on a five-game streak of home wins, the Defenders a five-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
