The Denver Academy Mustangs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. Their rough 66-45 loss to Lyons might stick with them for a while. Denver Academy has not had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

Denver Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Riley Allen, who scored 14 points along with two steals. Joel (JD) Decker was another key contributor, scoring six points along with five rebounds.

Denver Academy struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only two offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Lyons pulled down 11 offensive rebounds.

Lyons was led to victory by Davis Abernathy and Caleb Christiansen. Abernathy scored ten points along with eight rebounds and five steals, while Christiansen scored 23 points along with two blocks. That makes it three consecutive games in which Christiansen has scored at least a third of Lyons' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Payton Bolkovatz, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
