Cactus Shadows had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 17-run drubbing they dealt Coronado on Friday. The Falcons put the hurt on the Dons with a sharp 19-2 win. Considering the Falcons have won 12 matches by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Aidan Klinefelter looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, Owen Konerko was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Evan Hanish, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Cactus Shadows pushed their record up to 17-1-1 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Coronado, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.

Cactus Shadows wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 4-0 defeat against ALA - Queen Creek on the 7th. As for Coronado, they have also already played their next contest, a 12-1 loss against Tempe on the 8th.
