Coal City and Morris are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2018, but not for long. The Coal City Coalers will take on the Morris Redskins at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Coal City is headed into Tuesday's game hungry for a win as their strong season has now been derailed by two straight defeats. They took a 60-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Herscher on Friday. While the Coalers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Tigers 19-10 in the first quarter.

Meanwhile, Morris escaped with a win on Saturday against Rochelle by the margin of a single free throw, 62-61. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Redskins.

Morris' victory bumped their record up to 10-15. As for Coal City, their loss dropped their record down to 18-8.

Coal City skirted past Morris 56-53 when the teams last played back in November of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Coal City since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
