Volleyball Recap: Illini West Comes Up Short

Illini West was the 2-1 winner over Triopia/Virginia when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Chargers fell 2-0 to the Trojans on Saturday. Considering the last time the Chargers couldn't score was back in September, the team can't take the result too hard.

This is the second loss in a row for Illini West and nudges their season record down to 19-9. As for Triopia/Virginia, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 22-8.

Illini West wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Hannibal on the 13th. As for Triopia/Virginia, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Pittsfield on the 13th.
