Baseball Recap: Pleasant Valley Victorious

Cedar Bluff typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Pleasant Valley proved too difficult a challenge. They skirted past the Tigers 15-13. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 6-5 last Tuesday.

The win made it two in a row for Pleasant Valley and bumps their season record up to 13-8. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.5 runs across that stretch. As for Cedar Bluff, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 18-10-1 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pleasant Valley will challenge West End at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Cedar Bluff, they will take on Pisgah at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Tigers are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
