Volleyball Recap: Jackson Red Devils vs. Eagle's Landing Christian Academy Chargers

Jackson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Eagle's Landing Christian Academy Chargers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Chargers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 two weeks ago.

Jackson started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-11, 15-7.

Olivia Dotson was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had 11 digs and five assists.

Jackson's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Eagle's Landing Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5-1 record this season.

Jackson will head out on the road to take on Ola at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Eagle's Landing Christian Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Woodstock on the 6th.
