Laughlin was led to victory by Alexandra Arellano, who turned in her biggest game of the season on Wednesday. Arellano dropped a double-double on 14 points and 18 boards, good enough to set a new career-high in points in the process. That high mark didn't come from nowhere: she has now pulled down eight or more in the last three games she's played.

Arellano and Laughlin will venture away from home to challenge Founders Classical Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Centurions, probably because Arellano had a solid game then too: she posted 11 points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
