Soccer Game Preview: Stuarts Draft vs. Waynesboro

Stuarts Draft hasn't had much luck against Waynesboro recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Cougars are taking a road trip to face off against the Little Giants at 7:00 p.m. Stuarts Draft has given up an average of 3.4 goals per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Stuarts Draft's offense. They lost 7-0 to Wilson Memorial on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Stuarts Draft can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 212th, while Wilson Memorial are ranked 39th).

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last contest, Waynesboro made sure to put some goals up on the board against Fort Defiance on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over the Indians. Waynesboro might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by three goals or more this season.

Stuarts Draft now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Waynesboro, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2-1 record this season.

Stuarts Draft might still be hurting after the 8-0 defeat they got from Waynesboro when the teams last played on April 1st. Can the Cougars avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
