Preview: Mullen Mustangs vs. Eaglecrest Raptors
Mullen is 10-0 against Eaglecrest since February of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Mullen Mustangs will be playing at home against the Eaglecrest Raptors at 6:30 p.m. Hopefully Mullen is not getting complacent considering they own a much higher rank in Colorado (they are ranked tenth, while Eaglecrest is ranked 52nd).
Last Wednesday, Mullen strolled past Eaglecrest with points to spare, taking the game 39-20. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Mullen.
Mullen found their leader in underclassman Makenzie Jones, who scored 15 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Allison Schwertner, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds and three blocks.
Mullen has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. As for Eaglecrest, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-9.
Mullen strolled past Eaglecrest in their previous meeting on Wednesday by a score of 39-20. Will Mullen repeat their success, or does Eaglecrest have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
