Basketball Recap: Brusly Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Brusly can now relate to. They took a 40-29 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Iowa Yellowjackets on Monday. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 101st, while the Yellowjackets are ranked 28th).

Brusly's defeat dropped their record down to 19-17. As for Iowa, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-8 record this season.

As of now, neither Brusly nor Iowa have any future games scheduled.
