Preview: West Ridge Wolves vs. David Crockett Pioneers
After three games on the road, West Ridge is heading back home. They will take on the David Crockett Pioneers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. West Ridge will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings (they are ranked 171st, while David Crockett is ranked 22nd).
Last Friday, West Ridge came up short against Tennessee and fell 57-49.
Meanwhile, David Crockett came tearing into Friday's match with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 32.2 points) and they left with even more momentum. They managed a 59-54 victory over Daniel Boone.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead David Crockett to victory, but perhaps none more so than Aaliyah Story, who scored 15 points along with 6 rebounds. The game was Story's ninth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Laney Britton, who scored 18 points.
West Ridge's victory lifted them to 1-3 while Tennessee's loss dropped them down to 5-2.
Things could have been worse for West Ridge, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 59-44 loss to David Crockett in their previous matchup back in January.
