The New Holstein Huskies will face off against the Brillion Lions at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (New Holstein 3.4, Brillion 2.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.

New Holstein's usually-dominant pitching crew will be looking to make up for Saturday's struggle, when Homestead hitters got past them. The Huskies came up short against the Highlanders on Saturday, falling 11-0. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Huskies were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, Brillion got themselves on the board against Sheboygan Falls on Thursday, but Sheboygan Falls never followed suit. They blew past the Falcons 10-0. Considering the Lions have won ten matches by more than seven runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Jocelyn Tamm looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over four innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April.

On the hitting side, Jana O'Connell was incredible, going a perfect 5-for-5 with five stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those five stolen bases gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Miller, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Brillion kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sheboygan Falls only managed seven hits.

The victory made it two in a row for Brillion and bumps their season record up to 17-3. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 0 runs in those games. As for New Holstein, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 14-6 record.
