Kaili Graupner was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 13 batters over 6.2 innings while giving up five earned (and two unearned) runs off ten hits (and only one walk). Graupner was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That RBI was her first of the season.
In other batting news, Chiara Nash was a standout: she went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those RBI marked the first that she has brought in this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Millie Christie, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run.
Evansville Bosse always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .791. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Evansville Memorial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-4 heartbreaker at the hands of North Posey. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Tigers have suffered since May 21, 2024.
Evansville Bosse's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Evansville Memorial, they now have a losing record of 4-5.
