Basketball Game Preview: Woodward Boomers vs. Liberal Redskins

The Woodward Boomers will take on the Liberal Redskins at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Woodward's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five games.

Last Friday, Woodward was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 83-79 to Dodge City.

Meanwhile, Liberal was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 89-42 loss at the hands of Great Bend. The Redskins were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-23.

Woodward's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Liberal, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.

Things could have been worse for Woodward, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took an 81-65 loss to Liberal when the teams last played back in January of 2024. Can Woodward avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
