Softball Recap: Tipton-Rosemark Academy Triumphs

Tipton-Rosemark Academy came into Saturday's matchup having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They skirted past the Cookeville Cavaliers 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Rebels have posted since April 5th.

Reese Park tossed a big game, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits.

On the hitting side, Tipton-Rosemark Academy saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Allison Willis, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

The victory got Tipton-Rosemark Academy back to even at 14-14-1. As for Cookeville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.

Tipton-Rosemark Academy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 4-3 loss against Mount Juliet on the 12th. As for Cookeville, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 9-1 win against William Blount on the 12th.
