Softball Recap: Upson-Lee Knights vs. Spalding Jaguars

After soaring to 16 runs the game before, Upson-Lee was a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They came up short against the Spalding Jaguars, falling 12-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Jaguars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-8 back in August.

Upson-Lee saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jamayah Carthon, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Emma Blanchard also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Upson-Lee's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Spalding, with the victory, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 9-6.

Looking ahead, Upson-Lee will head out on the road to challenge Callaway at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Knights are facing the Cavaliers at the right time seeing as the Cavaliers are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Spalding, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Crawford County at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
