The Fort Worth Country Day Falcons will face off against the Oakridge Owls at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Oakridge will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Fort Worth Country Day extended their winning streak to four on Friday. The Falcons blew past St. Andrew's 55-15. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Falcons' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 444th, while the Highlanders are ranked 985th).

Harrison Homan produced another solid performance rushing for 121 yards and two TDs on only ten carries. Those 121 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Paul, who threw for 170 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 90.5% of his passes.
Special teams also played a big role in the game for Fort Worth Country Day, adding 15 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of William Bloemendal, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
Fort Worth Country Day didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as William Stadler, Rhodes Linker, and Bloemendal picked up one apiece. Bloemendal is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made five or more in each of the last three games he's played.
Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Oakridge against Greenhill on Friday as the team secured a 49-8 victory. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 34-2.
Fort Worth Country Day better keep an eye on Luke Dearman. He was instrumental in Oakridge's win, throwing for 173 yards and three TDs while completing 83.3% of his passes.
Oakridge didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Greenhill to a completion percentage of just 44.4%. That dominant aerial defense primarily came from two players: Caleb Walton and Jack O'Neal, who each logged one passes deflected. Oakridge has been improving in that area: they had allowed a completion percentage of 0.61 earlier this season, but they've only allowed one of 0.61 in their last three games.
Fort Worth Country Day's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Oakridge, their victory bumped their record up to 9-0.
We should be in store for an exciting game as the two teams have no problem gaining yardage. Fort Worth Country Day has been on an offensive roll this season, having averaged 370.2 total yards per game. However, it's not like Oakridge struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 385.4 total yards. With a pair of commanding offenses duking it out, the defenses are going to have their work cut out for them.
Fort Worth Country Day strolled past Oakridge when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a score of 26-8. Will the Falcons repeat their success, or do the Owls have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
