Football Game Preview: Richland Springs Coyotes vs. Brookesmith Mustangs + How To Watch

Richland Springs is a perfect 6-0 against Brookesmith since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Coyotes will look to defend their home field against the Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Brookesmith will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Richland Springs extended their winning streak to four on Friday. The Coyotes took their game with ease, bagging a 59-14 win over Lometa. Given the Coyotes' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 24th, while the Hornets are ranked 127th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

It was another big night for Cohen Ethridge, who rushed for 121 yards and one score on only ten carries, and also caught one TD. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in October of 2024. Another player making a difference was Ethan Deeds, who gained 79 total yards and two touchdowns.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Mustangs on Friday. Brookesmith came out on top against Olfen by a score of 54-44.

The victory got Brookesmith back to even at 3-3. As for Richland Springs, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.
