Basketball Recap: Silver Valley Continues Road Dominance on Monday

Silver Valley extended their road winning streak to six games thanks to a huge performance from Jasean Phillips. The Silver Valley Trojans pulled ahead with a 49-48 photo finish over the Granite Hills Cougars on Monday thanks in part to Phillips, who went 8 of 16 en route to 27 points and six boards. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Silver Valley's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Judah Caldwell, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds. He has been hot, having also posted three or more steals the last eight times he's played.

Silver Valley has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.1 points per game. As for Granite Hills, their loss dropped their record down to 3-12.

Silver Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 53-31 win against Hesperia Christian on the 4th. As for Granite Hills, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 51-38 victory against Barstow on the 5th.
