Volleyball Recap: Paxton Comes Up Short

Paxton lost against Hitchcock County two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Tigers came up short against the Falcons, falling 3-0. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Addison Holm paced Paxton's offense, picking up nine kills. Holm got some help from Hadleigh Kramer and her 16 assists. Jaleigh Hansen controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Paxton's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 17-13. As for Hitchcock County, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-20 record this season.

Paxton will square off against Wynot at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Hitchcock County, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Dundy County-Stratton on the 28th.
