Basketball Recap: River Falls' Losing Streak Snapped at Seven Games

River Falls came into Friday's contest having lost seven straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They blew past the Chippewa Falls Cardinals 56-36 on Friday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Wildcats considering their 25-point performance the game before.

River Falls' first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Chippewa Falls, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. River Falls and Baldwin-Woodville will compete for holiday cheer at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Chippewa Falls, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Chippewa Falls Cardinals face off against the Stevens Point Panthers at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Stevens Point will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Chippewa Falls surely won't give up without a fight.
