Poyen proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 37) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. It was close, but they capped 2024 with a 52-50 win over the Kirby Trojans. The victory was nothing new for the Indians as they're now sitting on four straight.

Poyen's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-4. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.5 points per game. As for Kirby, their loss dropped their record down to 14-7.

Poyen will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Hampton at 7:00 p.m. on January 7th. As for Kirby, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, an 80-45 defeat against Nashville on the 30th.
