Baseball Recap: Wakulla Comes Up Short

Wakulla and Clay squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Wakulla had to settle for second. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Blue Devils.

Wakulla handed starting duties to Landon Lawrence, who gave a strong showing despite the result: he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Lawrence has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

Wakulla now has a losing record of 13-14. As for Clay, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-13.

Wakulla does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Clay, they will challenge Escambia at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
