Football Recap: Ponderosa Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After soaring to 34 points the game before, Ponderosa was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They had to suffer through a 40-7 loss at the hands of the Dakota Ridge Eagles. The Mustangs haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Even if they lost, Ponderosa's defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Cole Grizzle, James Mullins, and Gage Parrish, who each picked up one sack apiece. Gavin Berninzoni was another major factor on D, making 14 total tackles.

Ponderosa's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Dakota Ridge, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-0.

Ponderosa wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 37-0 win against Highlands Ranch on the 9th. As for Dakota Ridge, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 49-21 victory against Heritage on the 10th.
