Voyager Academy and Perquimans squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Voyager Academy had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Pirates by a score of 5-4. The Vikings' loss signaled the end of their 11-game winning streak.

Voyager Academy saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cameron Copley, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI. Gabe Smith also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Voyager Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 24-3. As for Perquimans, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-5 record this season.

While Voyager Academy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
