Basketball Recap: Philadelphia Academy Charter Snags Eighth Victory in Last Ten Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Paul Robeson, Philadelphia Academy Charter was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out High School of the Future 54-52. For the Chargers, this counts as revenge for the 51-50 win High School of the Future walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2018.

Philadelphia Academy Charter's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jordan Benzenahfer, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 17 boards. Those 17 rebounds gave Benzenahfer a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Tahj Wilson, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 12 boards.

Philadelphia Academy Charter smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in four consecutive games.

Philadelphia Academy Charter has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.3 points over those games. High School of the Future is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-8.
