Baseball Recap: Holliston Triumphs

After losing to Medway the last time they met, Holliston decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Panthers skirted past the Mustangs 5-3. That's two games straight that the Panthers have won by exactly two runs.

Logan Brewster looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ty Bosselman, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high.

Holliston is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.5 runs across that stretch. As for Medway, they moved to 8-3 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Holliston will square off against Bellingham at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Panthers are facing the Blackhawks at the right time seeing as the Blackhawks are stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Medway, they will host Hopkinton at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. The Mustangs are on a three-game streak of home wins, the Hillers a four-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
