It was a good run, but Pinecrest unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-match winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of the Jack Britt Buccaneers by a score of 4-3. The matchup was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Pinecrest couldn't quite close it out.

Pinecrest's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 6-4-1. As for Jack Britt, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4-2 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Pinecrest is set to square off against their familiar foe Overhills at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Jack Britt will challenge rival Richmond Senior at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
