Basketball Recap: Woodberry Forest Takes a Loss

Woodberry Forest lost against St. Christopher back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Woodberry Forest Tigers were outmatched by the St. Christopher's Saints and fell 75-47. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 44th, while the Saints are ranked fifth).

Woodberry Forest's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for St. Christopher's, the victory (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 13-1.

Woodberry Forest will challenge St. Anne's-Belfield at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in St. Anne's-Belfield's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests. St. Christopher's has already played their next matchup (against Collegiate), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
