Softball Recap: Neuse Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Neuse Christian Academy's offense. They came up short against the Community Christian Cyclones on Tuesday, falling 16-0. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Lions were not able to get on the board.

Neuse Christian Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bristol Barham, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Neuse Christian Academy dropped their record down to 0-4-1 with the loss, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. As for Community Christian, the win keeps they at an undefeated 5-0-1.

Neuse Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 8-7 defeat against Durham Academy on the 28th. As for Community Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Ahoskie Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Community Christian's pitchers better be ready for this one: Ahoskie Christian has averaged an impressive 8.6 runs per game this season.
