Softball Recap: Pearl-Cohn Comes Up Short

Pearl-Cohn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 10-9 heartbreaker at the hands of the University School of Nashville Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-5 back in March.

Pearl-Cohn's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for University School of Nashville, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pearl-Cohn will take on Whites Creek at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Cobras have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.83 runs per game on average), something the Firebirds will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for University School of Nashville, they will square off against East Nashville Magnet at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
