Recap: North Fork Miners vs. Aspen Skiers
The North Fork Miners's game last Saturday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They put the hurt on Aspen with a sharp 39-15 win. That 24 points margin sets a new team best for North Fork this season.
North Fork's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from London West, who scored eight points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Alyssa Lovelace, who scored 11 points.
North Fork's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Aspen, they dropped their record down to 1-7 with that loss, which was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season.
North Fork will take on Grand Valley at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Grand Valley will be coming into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line. As for Aspen, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Olathe at 3:30 p.m. Hopefully Olathe focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Friday.
