Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wheeling Central Catholic). Everything went their way against the Tyler Knights on Tuesday as they made off with a 16-2 win. The Maroon Knights have beaten the Knights the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Knights has come to flipping the script.

Wheeling Central Catholic pushed their record up to 6-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Tyler, their loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-6.

Coming up, Wheeling Central Catholic will host Monroe Central at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Tyler, they have already played their next game, a 5-2 victory against Williamstown on the 9th.
