The Christ Presbyterian Academy Lions will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Davidson Academy Bears at 7:00 p.m. Christ Presbyterian Academy will be looking to keep their seven-game home win streak alive.
Last Friday, Christ Presbyterian Academy's game was all tied up 7-7 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They enjoyed a cozy 24-7 victory over Franklin Road Academy.
Christ Presbyterian Academy found their leader in underclassman Rawls Patterson, who rushed for 212 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.8 yards per carry. Patterson was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 55 yards.
Meanwhile, Davidson Academy can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They breezed by Goodpasture Christian on the road to the tune of 54-10. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 30-3.
Davidson Academy found their leader in underclassman Caden Stroud, who rushed for 132 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.8 yards per carry. Will Breece made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 8-1.
Keep an eye on the end zone in Friday's game as Christ Presbyterian Academy and Davidson Academy haven't had much trouble getting there this season. Christ Presbyterian Academy commands a daunting offense this season, having averaged 4.7 touchdowns per game. However, it's not like Davidson Academy struggles in that department as they've been even better at 5.3 per game. With these two high-octane teams facing off on Friday, fans should be in for an exciting offensive matchup.
