Basketball Recap: Kimball Knights vs. Seagoville Dragons
Kimball was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Seagoville Dragons 39-2. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Dragons apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2022.
Alissa Talamantes was Kimball's leading scorer, having posted two points.
Seagoville can attribute much of their success to Kyera Mayden, who earned 13 points. Another player making a difference was Kandice McWhorter, who had eight points.
Kimball's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Seagoville, they pushed their record up to 2-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kimball will head out to challenge MacArthur at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Seagoville, they will head out on the road to face off against Kaufman at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Kaufman knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Seagoville likes a good challenge.
