Basketball Recap: Thatcher Skates Past Catalina with Ease

Thatcher won the last time they faced Catalina and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Thatcher Eagles simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Catalina Trojans 73-30. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 22 points or more this season.

Thatcher's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isaac Palmer, who posted ten points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Chad Johnson, who earned ten points and five assists.

Thatcher was working as a unit and finished the game with 24 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive games.

Thatcher's record now sits at 11-7. As for Catalina, they are on a 25-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

Thatcher didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 44-28 defeat against Pima on the 15th. As for Catalina, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 71-28 loss against Douglas on the 15th.
