Gared Wood Dazzles in Italy Win

Italy picked up their sixth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Gared Wood. Axtell had no answer to Wood as he rushed for 186 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.9 yards per carry. Wood's longest rush was for an incredible 93 yards.

Axtell's probably not too fond of Wood given he always seems to get the better of them. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Wood saw the Longhorns), he rushed for 240 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 14.1 yards per carry, and also threw for 96 yards and a touchdown.

While Itasca might've come up empty on Friday, Heath Mays wasn't going down without a fight. Mays was dynamite, rushing for 118 yards and three touchdowns.

Itasca dropped their record down to 3-4 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home. Mays and Itasca will challenge Rio Vista at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Kaiden Scott's Rushing Yards a New Career-High

Kaiden Scott posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He threw for 222 yards and a touchdown while completing 73.3% of his passes, and also rushed for 37 yards.
