Volleyball Recap: Wayne Comes Up Short

Wayne was the 3-1 winner over Valley when they last played one another on September 10th, but their luck changed this time around. The Badgers fell 3-1 to the Buffalos on Friday. The Badgers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-15, 18-25, 25-19.

Chloe Stewart paced Wayne's offense, picking up 14 kills. Stewart got some help from Timber Wood and her 26 assists. Madilynn Jacobson controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Wayne's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-7 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Wayne is set to square off against their familiar foe Piute at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Valley will take on rival Bryce Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
