The Rauner Wildcats will look to defend their home field on Monday against the Mansueto Leopards at 5:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Rauner's favor as the team sits on nine straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Mansueto has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
Rauner managed to slip by Bulls College Prep the last time these teams faced off, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Rauner suffered a rough 15-5 loss at the hands of Bulls College Prep in Saturday's second game. The loss put an end to Rauner's undefeated start to the season.
Andrew Anaya was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now stolen at least one in the last four games he's played.
Meanwhile, Mansueto fell victim to a tough 14-3 defeat at the hands of Golder on Saturday.
Having lost for the first time this season, Rauner fell to 6-1. As for Mansueto, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.
