Fox Valley Lutheran made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Lake Country Lutheran, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Foxes fell just short of the Lightning by a score of 6-4 on Friday. The Foxes' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Lincoln Thede and Mason Stark stepped up to the plate in a big way. Thede got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, while Stark got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs. Thede also scored a run, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Jack Schlueter, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI.

Fox Valley Lutheran's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Lake Country Lutheran, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fox Valley Lutheran will head out to face off against Waupaca at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Lake Country Lutheran, they will venture away from home to challenge St. Thomas More at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
