Baseball Recap: Oostburg Wins Going Away Against Sheboygan Area Lutheran

Oostburg won the last time they faced Sheboygan Area Lutheran and things went their way on Thursday too. The Flying Dutchmen put the hurt on the Crusaders with a sharp 10-4 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Flying Dutchmen considering their one-run performance the contest before.

Grady Kaesermann was excellent, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Caden Helmer was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one double, and one RBI.

The victory got Oostburg back to even at 1-1. As for Sheboygan Area Lutheran, they dropped their record down to 0-4 with the loss, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Oostburg will take on Cedar Grove-Belgium at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rockets will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Flying Dutchmen surely won't give up without a fight. As for Sheboygan Area Lutheran, they have already played their next game, a 7-0 defeat against Roncalli on the 12th.
