            Softball Recap: Edsel Ford Thunderbirds vs. Woodhaven Warriors        
        
		
        
        
            Edsel Ford extended their losing streak  to four  on Monday, dropping their season record down to 3-16 in the process. They lost  13-0 to the Woodhaven Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  16-1  back in April.
As for Woodhaven, they pushed their record up to 26-4 with the  victory, which was their sixth straight  on the road. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won 18 matchups by six  runs or more  so far this season.
For Woodhaven's part,  Gracie Dixon was a  major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  kept things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. That's the most  strikeouts  Dixon has posted since back in April. She was also big at the plate,  going 3-for-4 with three  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Alyvia Mondon and  Aubriana Perez did most of the damage at the plate:  Mondon  went 2-for-3 with two  RBI, one  run,  and one  double, while  Perez  went 3-for-4 with two  runs and one  RBI. Those  three  hits gave  Perez a new career-high.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Edsel Ford will host Clarenceville  at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Woodhaven, they will look to defend their home field  on Tuesday against Chelsea  at 5:00  p.m.
